Literature let it be a poem, short history, or novel has a central theme. The theme is the author's technique of explaining a scenario, topic, or perhaps an idea they will feel good about receiving across in their writings. Usually, the title of any short story's paints the correlates to the theme or themes of the short tale. These fictional elements will be plot, perspective, tone, placing, character, and symbolism. I'll be using two key literary terms giving focus to the themes with this short account. The setting and significance used inside the story happen to be key factors that give the ready a clear picture true journey the old African-American girl is accepting. The short story " A Put on Path” written by Eudora Welty (1941) uses key fictional elements in the short history that contribute to the theme of the storyline. The depends on elderly African-American woman named Phoenix Jackson one cold December morning making her journey for the through the forest towards area. Her mission is to get remedies for her unwell grandson, but along her way the lady encounters dog, hunter, and nurse. Essentially, the setting is the place, time, or location of the situations taken place, inside the short account. Further from the true is that the environment is far more that the time the events take place, but it can determine the heroes actions. Also, the establishing place the reader within the period and even impacts the mood of the history. Finally, the setting provides historical and cultural regards of the character types in the history. " It was December—a glowing frozen day in
the early morning hours. Far out in the area
there was a vintage Negro girl with her head
tied red publication, coming along a
route through the pinewoods. ”
